Question No Template/No Categories

I apologize if this is a redundant question but I am on a time crunch and can't find my answer. I uploaded Kunena 1.5.3 to my website on Joomla 1.5. The install appeared successful. I did all the configurations, added a Category, etc...It appeared on my site but everthing was in text - no formatting - and the only Category is the Welcome to Kunena. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Let me know if you need additional info. Thank you.

Hi dcp,

if you in frontend have only one category be sure to publish all category in the Kunena Administration.

Tell as what template you have selected for forum. Try with default and in Kunena configuration be sure to select option Use Joomla Style? = No

I agree with quila. Now, here's a tip:

The best advice I can give to every new user, every beginner user of Kunena, is don't do anything to the configuration settings until you've made sure that the standard installation works. Even if you don't like the standard installation or the colours clash or it doesn't suit your purposes, there's plenty of time to make those adjustments later.

I think one of the great features about Kunena (from about K 1.0.9) is that it works, straight out of the box without having to do anything. Most of the problems occur because of something else.

So, the question is this: what configurations did you do and can you go back to the original settings? :)

Thank you both for getting back to me! I was trying to use the default_red template, and I had my "use Joomla style" = yes. So I changed it back to the regular default, changed my style to = no and now it looks great! I would like to be able to use different colors to better match my site but right now I'm just happy its up! Thank you!

For this, you could use firebug and colorzilla. Here is a german tutorial:
