Question increase max char in profile website url

Hi

How do I increase the max char to website url in the user profile? I counted and it seems the max is only 32 char, users report that they are not able to insert their complete website url.

That's odd! :S The field websiteurl in the table jos_fb_users allows for 50 characters. I couldn't find anything in the PHP source code that limits data entry to 32 characters - doesn't mean that it doesn't happen, though! Are you sure we're discussing the Kunena user profile? There isn't a Kunena configuration setting to adjust this value. You would have to change the table schema with something like phpMyAdmin.

You have counted right, exactly 32 chars

You can change it there:
/components/com_kunena/template/default/plugin/myprofile/myprofile_profile_info.php

But also, how do I increase the max char when posting a link or image url. I am thinking of the image link and image button on the toolbars.

I am still unable to find out where I can increase the max char for the image and link buttons on the toolbar. I'm guessing it's a value in a file somewhere like I did to increase the max char for the website url.

Any help is appreciated!

I assume you're talking about the message editing toolbar, is that correct?

Perhaps you would be better to start a discussion topic under another category (e.g. Feature Requests or Templates and Design) and ask your question "How can I increase the length of URLs when posting messages?" ... and be very specific what you ask for.
