Kunena 7.0.6 & Kunena 6.4.12 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.6 [K 7.0.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the twelfth version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If there is something corrupted while installing, please look at these references from fxstein how to install it and circumvent the timeout problem:

The workaround is usually simple: Increase the php timeout to 300 sec on your server and re-install.

If that is not possible you can ftp the unzipped package into a seperate folder on your server and use the Joomla option to install from an existing directory.

That way you don't go through the slow Joomla installer and the sinatllation will finish quickly.

Hi, I posted this earlier and said I managed to fix it:

I want to report that installing from the server didnt work afterall :( I still get the message when using the default_ex template. I have been using the default template which is working fine, but I have decided to switch to default_ex since I read here that you will drop the default template down the road.

So anyone have any other suggestions?
