Great work and finally a release candidate for joomla, well done

I need to create a forum for Admins only
The highest user group front end is Publisher, which according to joomla gives users in that group rights to publish content.
I need a user level above this for the site's admins to have private discussion

For some reason joomla does not have an Admins frontend user group, which is bloody annoying when you want to create an Admins only forum

Is there a workaround for this

Just leave front end empty and use backend instead. Both of them affect on frontend (forum), not to the permissions who can do what in the backend. Yes, we are going to replace that legacy feature. :)
