Question Unable to approve/delete pending posts

I have 2 very annoying problems with the forum I'm running which prevent me from either approving or deleting pending posts.

Problem 1. Unable to see checkbox. This is caused by the subject line which is too long. Because it's too long, I'm unable to tick the checkbox. Thus I can't approve/delete pending posts.

Problem 2. Fatal error prevents "Approve" and "Delete" buttons from loading. This is the exact error I'm getting: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/umit/public_html/theaionguy.com/components/com_kunena/lib/kunena.parser.bbcode.php on line 180

This error is caused because there are too many pending posts (1000+). Because the page only loads for 30 seconds, it doesn't get to the "Approve" and "Delete" buttons.

Any help solving these 2 problems would be appreciated.

#2: You need to alter your php.ini file to accept longer execution time. 120s is more then enough. 30s is a bit low.

What can you tell about your server?

About the server, not much I could tell you. It's being hosted by the company with the crocodile in their logo if you know what I mean.

Probably a noobie question, but where is the php.ini file located?

It can't be changed. So you need to optimize your site instead.

What a bummer. I don't think I can optimize the site enough so that 1900 messages load within 30 seconds.

Isn't there a way to delete pending posts in the database somewhere?
