Question Rss problem

Rss problem was created by oorzaak
Hi,

I just started out using Kunena. The website where I installed it is still under construction, so you should send me a PM if you want to view it. The site is Joomla 1.5.15 (I know, it should be .17) and Kunena is 1.5.11

I want to use rss to inform users about new topics and answers to existing topics. I switched on rss in the configuration panel. Then I subscribed to it using the built-in rss reader of Firefox (which I already use for some other feeds so no doubt it works). Then I entered some topics for testing.

Firefox did not receive any data. Then I searched this forum and I read that I can check my rss feed by entering into my browser something like this: <your-Domain>/forum/fb_rss?no_html=1

When I enter this (for the correct domain, of course) I get a 404 error message:

The requested URL /forum/fb_rss?no_html=1 was not found on this server.

I thought this could be due to the fact that the site is under construction so I tested on another website. Resulting in the same error message.

Hope someone can help me out on this one?

Cheers, Frits

Hello,

do you using a rewriting system or the default sef system in joomla! ?

Just to make sure that we're "on the same page", what xillibit was referring to in his question is mentioned in detail here . :)

My Joomla core SEO settings are all set to 'No' and I do not use any SEO plugins.

In the meantime I tried reading the feed with another application, the Safari browser on the Mac (Firefox is also on the Mac). When I click the rss icon to subscribe to the feed, I get an error message. It is in Dutch (my native language), translated it says that Safari cannot load the channel because it is of an unknown structure. Then it says (PubSub:2) which means nothing to me, maybe it does to you?

Cheers, Frits

Look the source code of your RSS page with firefox and check if there is javascript or css code, which is inappropriate in rss page.
