The website
Refering to Question 1: I would like the forums to 'runover' the left side of the page. So Menu/User Login and any other modules aren't showing. so the forums appear to be taking up more space. as they are right now, they look squashed.
Thank you for your help in advance.

I don't think the Joomla template you've chosen will achieve what you're after. Your template has three columns:
If you use two columns - the left one, say 80% of the width, where you Joomla will put your articles, forum, or whatever and the right one for everything else (login/logout, shoutbox, guild classes, etc.) then you'll be able to control things the way you'd like to ... I think.
- the login, "guild classes", etc. sit in the left column
- your main content (where Kunena will go) is in the middle;
- the shoutbox is in the right column

sozzled, thank you for all your help.
I am a novice when it comes to joomla, so it took me a while to figure it out. but i had 'user login' showing in all the pages. so it would never go away. I got it to go away when i'm viewing the forums. so now it's just the forums and shoutbox. which is great. but i think the 3 column template is still getting in my way. so i'm going to fiddle with it in the late morning. since it's 4am already. haha
