Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Forum descriptions need to be in black writing
Forum names want to stand out more
Forum icons need changing to more colourful ones that stand out easier

Admin profile info wants moved to left or right of post

Reply topic, unsubscribe buttons etc (above post and below post) want moved so all on one line and they need to be the coloured version

Quick reply, reply etc need to be the coloured version

Kunena 1.5.11, Gainsboro 2.0

(apologies, brain fuzzled :woohoo: n can't think, these are probably so easy to sort out)

Please read Before you ask for help with template issues ...

As I cannot actually view the problem website without logging-in, and as the user requesting the help has not provided any account information to assist, I can only offer general tips (most of which are summarised in the link above).

I don't fully understand the request/requirement "Admin profile info wants moved to left or right of post". Either the requirement is for the display to appear on the right (which is already provided for in the default_ex template) or it's the left - one or the other - but, in any event, all users' profiles are displayed on one side or the other. It is not easily possible to have a profile appear on a different side of the page depending on the role of the user who is logged in to the site.

It is also another key point in the summary advice I have pointed to earlier, that we are not responsible for, nor do we endorse, support or maintain, third-party-developed templates that users may obtain from this website. I cannot say whether the "Gainsboro 2.0" template operates with K 1.5.11 (or whether it will operate with K 1.5.12) and, if you are having problems with it, you should address your remarks to the developer(s) who built it.

As far as changing icons or buttons is concerned, most of these are images in K 1.5 and so you would need to have built them using image editing software - there are lots of products that do this. Unfortunately, as I am unable to view the user's website, I have no clues as to how the currently implemented image set needs to be enhanced in the ways described in the request.

Sozzled - Trust me, I read through that page you linked to several times, went searching through the documentation and all the various sections of this forum and still couldn't find the info I wanted (or if I did find anything it wasn't wrote in a language that I could understand easily), hence posting.

I do find the tone of your post a tad OTT, snotty and wrote as though you are looking down your nose at me. EVERYONE has to start somewhere and considering that I only download Kunena last night (UK time), then I think I've done a bloody good job of sorting it out the way I want it in the time.

Anyways ... Thanks for pointing out that only registered users could access the forum  I did wonder why no-one had posted on here to help me out. This has now been altered.

I have posted about the Gainsboro template on the Gainsboro thread already and despite seeing the author logged online today, there has been no answer but I already have the answer anyway and that is Yes, Gainsboro v2.0 does work mighty fine well with Kunena 1.5.11

As for the buttons, I don't need to have them built using image editing software when a simple upload of the default buttons and overwrite of the Gainsboro ones should do the trick.

ok were do i start with this one, hmm ok i will start with No gainsboro v2 is NOT fully compatable with kunena 1.5.11 there are flaws in it.

as sozzled said without be able to work with the live site the rest are mute points its like asking a builder to build a house but hes not allowed on site, it just plain aint gunna happen.

on a more personal off topic note please do not try to belittle sozzled if it was for his some time blunt personality people like myself who post many time a day helping other with there site would not be here.

so if yopu require help with your site i will look at it once i get a chance and that your answer are polite and to the point.
