Hi, I'm pretty new to Joomla! and Kunena. I'm slowly building a community site for the town where I live. Right now I think the JA_purity template will work fine for my needs, but I'm looking for a Kunena template that will blend with it. Suggestions please! :)

This is my Revelstoke community site, or at least as much as I've got done.

Suggestions on changes I could make to the default_ex template to tie it in better could be equally helpful. Thanks in anticipation! :)

G'day, hidinginthemountains, and welcome to the forum. It is wonderful to hear that someone is interested in using good ol' JA_Purity and I must congratulate you on your website and the way that you have presented the content.

From my perspective, I see nothing particularly wrong with the Kunena default_ex template that you are already using. It blends in reasonably well with the theme of your website.

If you wanted to make any changes, the only ones that I would recommend to you would be to modify a couple of the blue background images that exist in ../components/com_kunena/template/default_ex/images

These ones: cat_title_bg.gif and cat_title_head_bg.gif

You might like to tint those images with a more "charcoal"-like hue. But, even then, these are only very minor changes and they don't significantly alter what you've already got.

If you browse through some of the dozens of ideas that the users here have contributed, you might find something that sparks your imagination.

Keep up the good work. :)

Thanks. I was thinking of "charcolizing" it as you suggested, figure I'll get on that. :)
