CSS isn't getting updated! was created by Jasmine91
Hello folks,
As it's my first time to use Kunena and Joomla, I'm facing now a little problem with the CSS file of my forum. The problem is that whenever I try to update the CSS file (either through overwriting the original one through FTP/ or editing the CSS file from the control panel), the page never gets updated with the new colors and images I have made to the CSS file.
I tried to search for a solution to this problem but I couldn't find it. I hope that you'd help me
Thank you very much :side:

Jas,
One thing I can think of right away is the file isn't writable. Have you checked the permissions that are set for the file you're trying to update?
You may want to check it out.
Good luck!

the permissions are correct. I even downloaded the CSS file again from the website to my computer to check on it, and it appeared to be the one I uploaded with the new changes. The only problem is that those changes are not showing on the forum.
Could it be something that has to do with the default_ex template that prevents any editing? because I'm editing the default_ex CSS file btw.

Your CSS file, most likely, is being updated - you can verify this fact by looking at the file modified date-time information - but your server (or browser) cache does not update your display. I encounter this trap often! Clear your server cache and browser cache and then refresh your page. Does this help?
