Anyone have a 1.5.7 Dark Template? was created by rhantson
Hey Folks...
When it comes to template design for Kunena - I'm about as good as a dog is at cooking at 5 course meal...
Does anyone have a dark template that will work with the 1.5.7 version of Kunena?
I would be greatfully indebted if you do!
Thanks!
Robert

I saw this thread title with great pleasure, only to discover that no one has answered you. :S
I *can* do it, but it's rather time and labor intensive, involving doing a screen capture, find the colors using Photoshop to identify the hex color, and a CSS editor to find and change them. Then editing the images in Photoshop. I did this once already, for an earlier version, so maybe I can use some of the same images, if not the same color values in the CSS. I wish to heck they'd start including a dark template if they're gonna continue this frequent updating; this is really getting to be a pain, having to customize a whole new template every time they fix some bug. *sigh*
Gimme a day or two, if I manage something that looks reasonably good I'll post a link for download.

Ok, I think I'm done with it. I'll give some visual illustrations so you can see how it looks before deciding to download, but the main changes from default_ex are these:
Ok, the example images:
The template can be downloaded at:
crypticsites.biz/home/remository/Templat...5.7-default_ex_dark/
[strike]My main site is presently down, due to a catastrophe causing me to have to move everything to a new server, but[/strike] I can be contacted via the regular contact link at [strike] www.carmillascrypt.net [/strike] www.crypticsites.biz/home/ -- if you have any questions or problems with the template.

Most background colors changed to dark-transparent .png's - so those of you playing with IE, well... get a real browser.
Most text colors removed, to permit your own site's color scheme to be used, instead of some arbitrary forum color scheme. Again, a few exceptions, but I've stuck to either monochrome (shades of gray) or a faintly-gold color (which should be ok for most dark backgrounds) for those colors which needed to be specified; however for links, all colors have been removed, to let the links carry out your own site's color scheme;
ALL font-family attribs removed, again, to allow your own site's design to be carried on into the forum.
All the emoticons (smilies), and most of the other icons, edited to display nicely on a dark background.

No problem -- most of my sites are dark-colored, so it was really for me -- but no point hogging it all to myself, when it could benefit a lot of other folks with dark sites.
