Question Kunena and Joomla - BB not using Joomla CSS

Hi all

bit new to this, so please be gentle with me!

I installed Joomla, and stumbled across Kunena which I think looks amazing

Managed to upload it and link it to a menu item, but the problem I am getting is that when I click the link, it opens without any formatting - I think it is not using the CSS styles from Joomla

I am a bit of a noob when it comes to this, any advice would be appreciated - I am sure I will be OK configuring the board itself, I would just ideally like it to open within an existing frame on the Joomla template

If I have not explained myself properly feel free to ask

Hi misterchris,

try changing the Joomla template to see if the problem is there and use Kunena default_ex template.

I'm having the exact same problem. I installed Kunena, the backend looks fine, but when I click on any links from my Joomla frontpage to go to the frontend of Kunena, all the formatting is broken. I've tried setting it to use the Joomla template formatting, no change, I've tried setting it to use the Kunena templates, no change.

Are you using a 3rd part SEF product ?
