Hello!

I have converted my phpbb3 forum to fireboard.

Deleted Fireboard and installed Kunena.

I do get Kunena working but ONLY if I turn on Legacy..

Is that normal? I thought Kunena worked fine under Native?

Did I forget something to do during the conversion?

Kunena 1.5.11
Fireboard was version 1.0.4. ( docs.kunena.com/index.php/PHPBB3_to_Kunena ).

I did use an other converter than mentioned on this page (it wasn't working).
I converted te phpbb forum to fireboard.. and checken if everything was in place. It was..
What I didn't do was step 10 becuase everything was in place.... (10.Use the com_fbconverter to prepare the database, for the kunena installation, you can download it here : [2]. Now you can uninstall the com_converter by using the joomla! extensions manager.)

Could that be the problem?

The com_fbconverter is needed to save the configuration file into the database, so this step can be skipped if you don't want to keep configuration settings.

If you disable the mode legacy, what's happen exactly ?

At the top of your language file (administrator/components/com_kunena/language/kunena.yourlanguage.php) , do you have this :
Code:
defined ( '_JEXEC' ) or die ();

?

Nope!
The first line is:
Code:
// Dont allow direct linking defined ('_VALID_MOS') or die('Direct Access to this location is not allowed.');

So, replace the :
Code:
defined ('_VALID_MOS') or die('Direct Access to this location is not allowed.');

by :
Code:
defined ( '_JEXEC' ) or die ();

:)
