special characters in language file was created by icekake
Hello
After upgrading my Kunena the language file is overwrittenm so I took the text code at the top of the new langueage file and added it at the top of my old one that I had translatet from scratch.
Then overwrote the file.
Now I see my language, but all special characters are in a box with a ? in it.
Files and database is set to utf-8
Can someone tell me how to fix this?

Hi,
double check if the file is saved as UTF-8 - NO-BOM

Hello
thank you for your reply..
what I did was to get the language file from new upgrade, open up in notepad++, choose utf-8 without BOM
copy my old translation from older file, add below what was new at the top of the lang file, and save..
go to cpanel, upload and overwrite existing file.
Make sure it is utf-8
still all is like ? where my spechial chars are.
any ideas?
