Question upgrade kunena without loosing custom template

Is there a way to upgrade kunena without loosing the template?? Translatet all the buttoms to right language, changed colours and everything and am getting tired of fixing it all over again everytime there's an update.

just put in a safe place the directory related to your customized template, look in there :

components\com_kunena\template

Yes, if I can elaborate a bit on what xillibit wrote, if you take the files in ../components/com_kunena/template/default_ex and move them to another folder, let's call it ../components/com_kunena/template/custom then, when you upgrade Kunena, your old default_ex files will be overwritten, but you still have all your customisations in your custom folder.

Better still, if you move your default_ex files to a custom folder, you can then choose custom as your template from the Kunena configuration panel. Just remember, though, that Kunena 1.5.x updates make changes to the source code as well as the CSS code and if you still use your customised template you'll be running the risk that your forum may not operate correctly or that problems fixed in the new version won't make their way into the version you have on your website.
