Hello,

1°) You need to configure if you can your hosting plan to have php 5.x.x or asking to your hoster. If your hoster can't provide php 5.x.x, i advise you to looking for an another hoster.
2°)Re-upload manually the file components/com_kunena/lib/kunena.config.class.php on your server, because sometime the joomla! installer corrupts the files.

With 1and1, you have just to add this in your htaccess file :
Code:
AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
