I'm running 1.5.6 and i like to know what the effect is on any upgrades like template and emoticons when i run the upgrade to version 1.5.9.
So far i'm happy whith 1.5.6 but i can't find a hack for a poll.

Dont ever rely only on the input you can find in the forums. There are simply too many changes to list them all.

You might also have done hacks in the code or be using 3. party plugins.
All can affect your upgrade.

You should therefore _always_ test updates in a closed enviroment, where you have some simple test data.
That way, you have the possibility to see how an upgrade affects exactly your site.

Regarding changes, there is the normal read me here:
docs.kunena.com/index.php/Kunena_1.5.9_Read_Me

You can also browse through the forums here to see if there is some common problems.

When talking about the need for upgrading, it is present.
There is security issues in the old version(s), so you might want to upgrade asap. But dont let it throw you off course -> remember to test it, before releasing it the production forum.
