Question Installation of 1.5.8

Installation of 1.5.8 was created by thigbie
I am trying to install Kunena 1.5.8 on a joomla 1.5 site. I copied the mysql db from the previous joomla 1.0 site that used Fireboard using the migration process. I have not installed Fireboard on the new site. So there is nothing to uninstall. During the install, the upload appears to go ok. Joomla is taking a long time to install and I get one blue msg that says "installation success". I also get a red msg that says component installation failed with error 2006. What do I need to do?
Thanks,
Tom Higbie

Hello,
Do you have used the com_converter if you using a fireboard version previous to the 1.0.5 ?
Can you give more détails on this error, with a screenshot ?
What php and mysql version do you have ?

Attached is a png file of the install error. I'm not familiar with com_converter. I did the joomla migration thing, but wound up creating a new site with the migrated db so that I kept user data (1800 users) and articles. The migration of the old site did not work very well. I DO NOT have fireboard installed on the new site. The mysql version is 5.0 and php is 5.0. This is on a shared host at pair.com

It's just your server which are too slow, do the install from a directory by extracting the kunena in the directory /tmp of your server.
