Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

I am using SEF URLs (sh404 which i believe is using the standard router.php for urls)

URLs are currently:

example.com/12-category/203-somepost.html

How do I remove the "12-" or the category id from the post?

I am migrating from an old FB installation and wanted to keep the urls the same as before.

All thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

Original sh404sef URLs made Kunena.com 2-3x slower in dedicated server because it had to cache ~100 000 different URLs (within a week) even in relatively small forum! And it was getting exponentially slower as the forum grew larger.

Well, removing just the category ID with some fancy caching would not be that bad for performance, if you keep the message ID. Maybe it can be done as paid job which could be included into next release.. Hmmm..

I would be up for that, depending on the time and cost.

If removing the category id from the URL turns out to be a big job perhaps others could add in.
