Question "server encountered an unexpected condition"

"server encountered an unexpected condition" was created by cbdh19
I have tried to install Kuena 1.5.5 to my Joomla installation, located on the web host, fatcow.com, and received the following error message:
"The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log."
Fatcow.com meets the minimum recommended technical requirements for kuena 1.5.5.
MySQL = 5.0.77
PHP = 5.2.5
At first I thought the problem was that fatcow.com is running joomla 1.5.6. I upgraded to 1.5.14 but still received the same message when trying to install kuena 1.5.5.
I have another account on godaddy.com. I had absolutely no problems installing Kuena 1.5.5 to joomla 1.5.14 on godaddy.com.
Unfortunately, I've built a big site on fatcow.com, and would rather not have to deal with moving it -- unless I have to.
I've receive the exact same error message on fatcow.com when trying to install the latest version of agora and a couple of other joomla components.
Obviously, the problem lies with fatcow.com, but I have no idea what the problem is,
or what they're (not) doing that godaddy.com is (not) doing that makes my joomla
component installation life a cinch on godaddy, but gives me problems on fatcow.com.
Again, for convenience sake, I'd like to stay with fatcow.com, at least for now.
Any ideas on what could be giving me the above error message, and what I could do to fix it?
Thank you.

Hi cbdh,
you have not so much option.
1. try to install another file format .zip, .tar, .tar.gz or tar.bz2
2. try to install from Directory
3. try to install from URL
if still you can not install, contact you hosting provider to solve the problem.
Regards

Thank you for your help. My host did eventually help me. And, in case others out there might encounter the same issues -- especially likely if they're a joomla newbie like me, here is what I had to do to successfully install Kunena (which is a great component, btw!)
1. Using an unzip/extraction program (I find Joomlapack Extract Wizard -- joomlapack.net -- works well for joomla components, unzip the kunena installation folder into a folder you create locally on your computer (e.g. kunena_forum).
2. Using an FTP client (FileZilla, etc.), upload this folder to your tmp folder in your joomla installation on your web host server.
3. Log into joomla and Go to >Extensions >install/unistall
4. Use the "Install from directory" option
5. Put the name of the folder (e.g. 'kunena_forum') you have uploaded to your joomla/tmp folder into the last position on the long directory pathway that is already listed in the "install from directory" box.
6. Click on "Install."
Kunena successfully installs! -- at least it did for me (and I hope this works for you too!)
