Kunena 6.4.7 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.4.7[K 6.4.7] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.0.x/5.1.x/5.2.x/5.3.x/5.4.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.4
Important note: Go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated. This is particularly necessary for major version jumps so that the table changes are adapted.

Thank you for moving so fast to 1.5.5 and removing the security vulnerability.

I understand via Twitter that 1.5.6 will be released around the end of this week. I am sure you will have this covered but there are issues with 1.5.5 (Joomla! 1.5.14).

Please see, for example:
[url=http://www.british-heritage-dog-breeds.co.uk/forum/3-suggestion-box/264-another-thought.html#279[/url]

Note the user on/offline text (user profile text is also code but you won't see that without logging in) and the go to the top text.

Thanks to another thread I fixed the multiple image problem.

Is there a quick fix for this please?

Hils :)

Thank you for replying :)This is a quote from the other post.

I know that this is a known problem so I'm hoping someone can help. I used to have the problem on here a lot but it hasn't happened lately. Basically, you open up the forum and it seems you are not logged in, when you go to login, it is telling you are already logged in. Since I migrated everything to 1.5 this problem has started happening quite a lot to my members.

This is not my problem. I have no problem logging in, logging out, or Kuena recognizing my state!

My problem, since upgrading from 1.5.4 without this problem, to 1.5.5 now with this problem is that code is visible in the front end rather than the text that should be there - in the places I mentioned in my original post.

Hi Hils,

this is a language file problem.

Just overwrite manually (via FTP) the file kunena.english.phpin the folder

administrator / components / com_kunena / language /

with the same file witch come with "Gainsboro Template".

As always - thank you - that was the answer!

If it helps others. I use the excellent free Gainsboro Kunena template.

Gainsboro Free Template

When Kunena is updated [uninstall and reinstall], the Gainsboro template is removed from the template folder. But of course you have backups so it is easy to put the Gainsboro template back via FTP. Now I know to add this file too!
