Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

downloaded the latest version for the 1.0.15 joomla and it fails during installation -

The version you should use for Joomla 1.0.15 is Kunena 1.0.11. Is this the version you downloaded?

com_kunena_v1.0.11_stable_b1354_2009-07-10.tar

is the one I downloaded and am trying to install.

EDIT:

okay, so I just downloaded and installed the .zip version of the same file and it almost installs, now I get this error -

I N S T A L L : F A I L E D - Minimum Version Requirements not satisfied

php version: 4.3.11 (Required >= 4.3.9)
mysql version: 4.0.27-max-log (Required > 4.1.19)


which is something I have no control over since my site is hosted on a server that is not my own. Then below that part I see this part -

I see Kunena listed in the Components menu but when I click on it I get a page that says it is not installed. So apparently it is not installed yet it is installed enough to have a menu option and a page explaing that it is not installed.

Guess I'll have to try a different forum extension.

... or a different hosting service ... or ask your host when they intend to upgrade MySQL. ;)
