Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Back end error was created by Maffu

I get two backend errors when I go to the Kunena component, both on the same page.

The first, in red text on a pink background, says:
"Upgrading Kunena to version 1.5.3 has failed!"

The second, in blue text no a light blue background, says:
"Your forum may be missing some important fixes and some features may be broken. Please try to upgrade again. If you cannot upgrade to Kunena 1.5.3, you can easily downgrade to the latest working version."

Strangely, at the buttom of the same page, it says:
Installed version: Kunena 1.5.3 | 2009-04-03 | 1231 [ NOT UPGRADED ] | Copyright: © 2008-2009 Kunena | License: GNU GPL

I found this post , listed under SOLVED, but it is not solved, and the 'solution' given is esoteric and a bit half-arsed (sorry 810, you obviously know what you are talking about, but the people who come to this forum for help may not be so blessed).

I cannot find the 'manifest.xml' mentioned in the above post and I'm not sure if I should proceed any further until these errors are fixed.

Can anyone help me?

i using an own version. Are you using the official version. if not, use the follow code

Thanks for the reply 810 - hope you didn't take my comment in the wrong way.
I have become very confused as I have been messing about with various bits of code without a break since 8am this morning (it's now 4pm) and it seems that the problems may well have been caused by me overlooking a couple of things.
Oops.
I'll apply your fix and see what happens.
