Kunena 7.0.6 & Kunena 6.4.12 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.6 [K 7.0.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the twelfth version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Question Captcha is acivated but not shown when writing an article

Hello,
I have activated the captcha function but it doesn't work. There is no captcha code while writing an article.
So we receive to much spam and we have to stop the forum :(
Installed is kunea 1.5.20 capcha=yes in the configuration. Perhaps somebody has an idea..what's wrong

G'day, Akki and welcome to Kunena. I am assuming that you are using Kunena 1.5.12, is that correct? Please confirm if I am correct.

"It doesn't work" because no CAPTCHA code appears when you try to post a message or a reply? Please read Does the "spam protection system" work in Kunena? (it was one of the very first questions I asked when I joined this website): The CAPTCHA system only works if you allow your users to post without them having to login. Is this how you are running your forum? Please confirm.

Thanks a lot, you are right my user have to login when writing. Because of the spam I wanted double security.

If you require your users to login then there is no CAPTCHA. That's how it works (or it doesn't, depending on which way you look at it). ;)

There are many things you can do to protect yourself against spam but, as I have written on many occasions before:
