Hi all,

For the Kunena site I am setting up, I have set up a number of forums for regular logged in users. So far so good.

I am now trying to create an additional restricted forum for users who are defined as "publishers" in the Joomla User Manager.

I've created the category and the forum, both which have "publisher" defined as public access.

However, when I log in as a user with publisher-level access, I don't see this restricted forum; it isn't listed under Categories.

What might I be doing wrong here?

Thanks,

-Colin

ok let me confirm a few thing.

USER ( publisher )

in joomla user manager he has " publisher " set as his rank

in kunena user manager he has " no rank assigned " set as his rank

Catagory/Sub forum ( publishers only )

setiings for that look like image below:

if all of that is corrcetly set as above ( this is how my own live site is set so i know it works ) then sadly this issue lies with another compoonent/plugin or template that you have installed conflicting with kunena.

thanks for posting the image. After studying it, I switched the two "child groups" options to "yes" and then it worked as expected.

a quick question: what is the difference between a moderator and an administrator in Kunena?

Thanks

Good question the main difference between them is in JOOMLA " backend access " the difference in kunena is " not alot " this will change in K1.6 as admin have slightly more functions over moderators.
