Kunena 7.0.2 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.2 [K 7.0.2] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.3.x/5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Topics that are moved into this category are generally considered to be closed. Users may want to add additional information but these topics should not be resurrected in order to discuss new problems or unrelated matters.

I don't think it's a good idea to provide "advertising space" in users' signatures. The main reason is that you can't regulate how they use that feature. Joomla provides other facilities for you to exploit your website for financial gain (and I have no problem with those other features, by the way) and, using the standard Joomla banner management, you can insert banners into the Kunena template placeholders.

So there's no real issue here. All you need to do is to advise your users that they have the means to buy advertising space and, when they agree to your terms, you can place their banner ads on your website - in your Kunena forum, if you want - in place of Google ad-sense. B)

The more I think about, you're absolutely right. I tend to get off track and attempt to re-invent the wheel from time to time. I'll stick with the standard Joomla/Kenuna options.
