Hi folks. currently using v1.5.9 (yea i know we need to update to 1.5.11 but in honesty, waiting 1.6 to appear:D

So, I accidentally deleted an entire thread in our forum today, is there any way that i can restore this. had a quick look in our mysql but couldn't see a database that jumped out to me as being kunena in the hope that the thread was still in there somewhere.

help would be muchos appreciated!!!

Hello,

In K1.5 or K1.0, there are no easy ways to restore a thread or message deleted. If you have a recent dump of your database, you can import only the thread, if you know the id or the title.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

We still recommend that you upgrade from K 1.5.9. Although K 1.6 is still in alpha development (it may be released to the public as a beta or, possibly, as a "release candidate") these versions should not be used on production websites!

I don't know how many times I can emphasise this warning: until K 1.6 reaches the "stable release" stage, any problems that users have will be matters for the users to fix themselves. I cannot tell you how long it will be before K 1.6 reaches the stage where we recommend it safe to deploy on production sites but this could still be a while off. In the meantime, we still recommend that you always install the latest stable release of Kunena. In my opinion, people who continue use old software on their websites are not only being lazy, they're doing their users a disservice.

K 1.5.11 fixed over 30 known defects with K 1.5.9 (and earlier).
