hello everybody

I ve been very busy in the last few days with an important "merge" of 2 different websites and forums.

I hope someone can give me a valid suggestion, otherwise I ll go crazy!

one forum is under KUNENA , one is UNDER PHPBB3

I ve spent many days... using scripts, converters etcetera.

the final result is that I got the databases merged and I see in phpmyadmin:

ALL USERS (from actual and previous forums) everyone with a unique ID
ALL CATEGORIES everyone with a unique ID
ALL POSTS everyone with a unique ID

If I try testing the DB with FIREBOARD I see all the posts, all the users, all the categories. Everything is fine!

If I test it with Kunena 1.5.11 I see only the categories, the "last post by", the number of posts, topics, views and time!

If I enter each of the forums (bot the old and the actual ones) I
see "there are no posts in this forum"

I ve tried to synch users, to recount stats... but NOTHING GAVE ME GOOD RESULTS.

PLEASE HELLLLLLPPPPP

THANKS

Hello,

Your problem is more complicated that it sound, because you try to merge two databases into one, so there will be conflict on ID. Actually, there are no solutions to do these kind of things, you can migrate from PhpBB, but you can't merge phpBB datas into Kunena.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

hi I m 100% sure there are no conflicts on IDs
neither on categories, nor on users, nor on messages.

I ve taken care of that.

I ve checked the DB everything is fine.
Indeed all was working perfectly with Fireboard component I used during migration.

after upgrading to Kunena 1.5.11 I see no posts.

I think it is something so fool not to be noticed by myself after all these hours on the pc.

maybe mathias has the solution.

So it looks like that your imported database has some flaw (field with wrong value) which prevents it from working in Kunena.

Go first to the backend and try to sync users and forums/categories. If it does not help:

Easiest and fastest way to find out what, is to create topic with some replies in phpBB and import it, then do the same inside Kunena and compare differences in phpmyadmin.
