Question Everyone to see forum

hi,

At the moment not registered don´t see anything in the forum. They can´t see the categories or forum posts.

I want to change this, so not registered can see categories and posts. But they have to create a user If they want to post something.

Anyone know how to do this?

Thank you :)

J1.5.15 and K1.5x do not yet support ACLs ( access control lists ) and that is what you are going to need for what you are trying to do but in J1.6 and K2.0 (long way off) ACLs will be added so that restrictions can be better added to who can see and access each catagory of the forum, this includes guest accounts and bein able to only view topics but not able to start their own or reply to a current topic.

G'day, streller, and welcome to the forum. I have moved this topic to the Common Questions category (because it is a commonly-asked question among new users). It might help you to read K 1.5.x Support: Please read this first.

The behaviour you want is actually the default behaviour when you install Kunena unless you changed something.

Assuming that you have not in some other way restricted access to Kunena, you should read Configuration Tips . If you follow those tips you will have a forum that everyone can read but that only your logged-in, registered users can post to. :)

This is, in fact, the default behaviour when you install Kunena ... unless you changed something.

I have followed the configurations tips, but I still have the problem. :(

Registered Users Only: NO
Public Read/Write: NO

As you can see, if a user is not logged in, he don´t see any categories or posts.
