Hi,
How to have a unique avatar by user?
Why can 2 users have the same avatar?
Did someone have this problem and if yes, how did you resolve it?
Thanks

G'day, Becky, and welcome to the forum.

Each user can have his/her own avatar image. The images may or may not be unique - that's their choice - because images can be copied, duplicated, uploaded, etc., by different people. You can't stop that.

There's an old saying: "imitation is the most sincere form of flattery". So if two people are using the same avatar image, maybe this says something?

The standard Kunena installation comes with a library of avatar images. There is no exclusiveness involved: if one person chooses an image from the library that doesn't mean that someone else can't also select the same image, too. As long as you permit users to upload their own avatar images, users will be able to make their own, copy them to your server and use them to their heart's content. That's the only way to "resolve" this matter.

I hope this helps. :)

Hi Sozzled,
Thanks for your answer!
I used phpBB3 since a few days ago (I remember there was a special MOD for unique avatar in phpBB2) so I thought that it was the same for Kunena.
Of course, it's better if they uplaod their own avatar and I will put a small text in the rules of my Forum.
Bye
