So yeah, I'm still pretty new to Kunena so sorry for all the noob questions.

I used to use a forum with an E107 CMS that allowed user to click on a button in the BBcode area and it would insert a lightbox image for them. They just had to paste in the URL and image width/height.

I have been able to get lightbox effect to work in my Kunena forum with YooEffects plugin but I was wondering if there are any plans to add this feature to the Boardcode buttons of Kunena. If not, are there any instructions out there that can show me how to add this on my own?

I have looked at the Kunena.parser.php file and found where the case statements are written for the Boardcodes as well as found the folder that the boradcode images are stored in but I am not pro level with php so I don't want to screw something up.

My members really like the lightbox effect on images but hate having to type in the rel="lightbox..... every time. Any advice?

Thanks for your question, jugg3r. No, I'm not aware of any plans to introduce a lightbox effect/plugin into K 1.6.

I don't quite understand what you mean by

having to type in the rel="lightbox..... every time

Every time what? :S Every time your users post an image? Would you like to share your solution?

What "buttons" are you suggesting should be added to the Kunena message editor? Why would you need them?

I thought this issue had been successfully addressed earlier (see Plugin use LightBox on Kunena ) and the approach should work with K 1.5.11 but I haven't tested it.

I'll check out the post that you pasted in there and see if that works better than integrating YooEffects into my site.

Ok, let me explain more. I have the YooEffects plugin installed but every time my members post an image to the forum, they have to then edit the img tag to include the following;
Code:
img size=200 rel="lightbox;width=imagewidth;height=imageheight"
in order to make the lightbox effect work.

I see that if I am using YooEffects I must also have enabled MooTools for my template. I guess I am more noob than I thought. LOL! I can't seem to find anything to tell me how to install MooTools. Can you help?

 :S The discussion topic I referred to is all about integrating YooEffects into Kunena.

Mootools is a Joomla library of Javascript functions. I wasn't aware that you could disable them! I don't have a link for the original Mootools 1.1 library (by the way, what version of Joomla are you using?) - but here's a link to download the Mootools 1.2 library:

File Attachment:

File Name: mootools12...0412.zip
File Size:146.66 KB

Install this like any other Joomla extension, then enable it by going to Extensions » Plugin Manager and locate System - Mootools 1.2.
