I want Email & Name To be Turned off?



fields are automagically populated but I don't need them... much like your site..

your site doesn't use them... unless public writable I'm sure...

seems like its missing a flag somewhere like the upgrade missed something...

When will be able to create custom groups without having to go nutz...

I need to be able to have secured forums without giving additional rights to users in joomla...

already using author for one group but now need a sponsors group and don't want them allowed into joomla at all...

Actually, that's not quite true. The changed behaviour is a new security feature to permit site moderators and admins the ability to see and/or change those details. You are seeing this information (perhaps for the first time) because you are logged-in to your site as an administrator or moderator. "Ordinary" users do not see this information.

It's a new security feature that was designed to be part K 1.6. This feature was back-ported to K 1.5.10 and, now, K 1.5.11. This feature is used at www.kunena.com . :)
