However, this topic raises other issues that are not immediately transparent: how we deal with sensitive material that occasionally finds its way onto these discussion boards.

Without wishing to prejudge how users intend to use Kunena, we have an obligation to keep www.kunena.com safe for the general viewing public. Occasionally some posts contain links to websites that some of our users may find objectionable.

The site administrators have advised me of their view that these forums will remain committed to purposes of promoting Kunena or for answering questions that are directly related to this software. However, if there is any possibility that, in the course of asking for our help, users publicly disclose the URL of a website containing material that a reasonable person might have objections to or that could be considered not "family safe" we will have to exclude such requests from our forums. Users' messages may need to be edited, if necessary, to conform to this policy.

I would understand the content on the site my be "inappropriate" for some users. But that is not the issue. You are taking the real issue out of proportion. I mean even if you need to put a "Warning Adult Content Inside" on the title of the thread that would be fine.

If the website was for a Racist group would you block it? I mean maybe I am going a little far but denying me help is just ignorant. is it not possible to create such a board to suit questions for adult sites? As I am sure there are many more.

I hope you understand that I have tried my best to deal with this issue as sensitively and as tactfully as possible. I don't want this discussion to go so off-topic that it needs to be closed. I believe that, in the course of my investigation, I have acted appropriately and professionally. If it were possible to examine the claims made in this topic without compromising one's professional detachment from the subject matter, we would also do this. However, it is not possible to conduct this investigation in a totally, professionally detached manner within your site's context.
