Hi there

I am a new user of Kunena, and have installed the component successfully. But when I create a menu item and choose Kunena as menu item type, the field gets empty and so does the "Parameters (basic)" field. In front-end it becomes a blank page.

Can anybody help me solve this?

Best regards
Bardur

G'day, bamik and welcome to the forum.

When I create a menu item and choose Kunena as menu item type, the field gets empty ...

Which "field" are we discussing? :S

Creating a menu item is fairly basic Joomla skill and there's not a lot that usually goes wrong when you create a menu item for your Kunena forum. We often get questions about Joomla-related problems (and that's to be expected) but you will find a lot more assistance with how to create new menu items at help.joomla.org . ;)

If you're still "in the dark" looking for an answer, please reply and we'll see what we can do to help you. :)

Menu item type is blank, that's because of minor incompatibility between Kunena and Joomla. Regarding to white page on the frontend, you need to look your error.log file from Apache.

Thank you for quick replies :)

Sozzled: Sorry, I meant the "menu item type" area :) After I have chosen Kunena as the menu item type, the area looks like this.

Matias: I looked up the error.log file, and it gives this error:
"PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 71227 bytes) in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/mywebsite/plugins/system/sef.php on line 79"
