What should I be looking for in the way of conflicts? I see that the button work here so, I'm thinking it's either another extension or template. I have the same results however in several Rockettheme templates AND the Beez template that ships with Joomla.
Any help would be appreciated here.

Hey, I just installed Kunena 1.5.9 as a test. I may move to it from phpbb. As of right now, everything seems to be working just fine, including jomsocial integration... but the bbcode buttons are not inserting their code. Currently, I have kunena hidden from public view.

Rocketthemes are known issue and generate more trouble than they are worth id recommend joomlabear for templates or use a standard template.

2) You click the button and it does nothing. I can type it in by hand just fine and it will work. So it's the editor that isn't inserting the code.
3) Kunena 1.5.9 and Joomla! 1.5.15
4) See attached.
