Hi

I want to change the menu (main tabs) name "Categories" to "Forums" and also set the default view to categories when the menu item is clicked on. Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers
K

G'day, kerran, and welcome to the forum. A useful tip to keep in mind, when posting here, is to (a) try to keep topics focused on a single topic and (b) take notice of how the categories are organised. The Support category, in which you posted your two questions, is intended to be used to address problems with the unmodified core Kunena software - not to ask how to change it - or to report defects that you are encountering - not to ask questions about how to use the software normally. Now that we've cleared this minor misunderstanding out of the way (and I've moved this discussion to a more appropriate category), let's see how we can help. :)
  1. How to change the text in Kunena's menu tabs. An often sought-after issue, there are a number of topics that deal with this subject. In the current release of Kunena, this is only achievable by changing a file (there is no "setting" for it, specifically). Basically, you need to edit the file ../administrator/components/com_kunena/language/kunena.english.php - this is the "language file" referred to in Editing & Reorganizing Menu Items
  2. How to open "Categies View" by default, when you open Kunena. This is a configuration setting : Frontend » Look and Feel » Default Kunena Page = "Categories"
