I have a problem with my board. I'm using the default_ex template and version 1.5.8.

Sometimes, images won't show up, when placed between image tags. For instance, this one:

http://ichart.finance.yahoo.com/z?s=%5EAEX&t=6m&q=l&l=on&z=m&c=EURO,%5EDJI&a=v&p=s

Which doesn't seem to work here either. Other images work perfectly, it just has something to do with the difficult tags.

Is this a bug and can I do something about it?

Hello,

This is very specific and it has been discussed here : www.kunena.com/forum/138-support/40414-j...work-in-kunena#40534

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Thanks. I will continue in that topic. Maybe someone can close this one, to avoid doublings.

I think we'll leave the discussion open for a little while longer. The most important issue, for me, is the question of support.

No, this is not a "bug" nor a defect. What might be considered "normal" HTML code can, in some cases, create serious problems for users of a discussion form if other users have the ability to inject harmful or malicious code. It is for those reasons that HTML has, for all intents, been removed from Kunena.

Of course, I consider myself to be a responsible person. I'm also somewhat "clever" and "inventive" and, as a user, I find many of BBCode's restrictions to be a real pain. However, not everyone else is as honest, conscientious or careful (perhaps). BBCode, while it can be a little (or a lot) restrictive, at least removes a lot of the worry about people creating havoc within your web community via your forum.

So, while this is an interesting discussion topic, the problems that users may encounter in not always having access to every kind of image that's available across the world wide web do not always arise from a flaw in Kunena's design or construction. In this case this particular issue is not a support question but it's certainly a very commonly-asked one. I am moving the discussion to the Common Questions category.
