I want guests to see the forum but only registered to post.

I have attached my settings captures. THANK YOU in advance.

Additional information.

It forces the CB login module. Not the Kunena header with the login or register link.

I have the same settings on my test domain and it works just fine. I am confused.

Thanks again for ANY help.

Have a look at SOLVED: Trouble getting into forum as "everyone" and see if that helps with accessing your forum as a guest.

The login redirection to the CB login module is something else.

Thank you.....!!!!

I swear I read that thread. I have been kicking myself. Simple as the link... I set it up while test staging the site---then unlocked it so to speak --then never changed the link.

Thanks again!

The plot thickens.

It seems it is the Joomla SEF.

The login prompt comes up for the "kunena latest" module when not logged in also. When the SEF url is used it redirects to a login prompt no matter what.

The menu 'link' regardless of SEF has the index.php?option=com_kunena when you select it from the list tree of types. --which in turn gets changed by the Joomla SEF. when you direct link to the SEF URL it doesn't authorize even as a guest. I thought the Kunena docs say it will accept SEF URLS

Is this a bug in Joomla SEF or is it just a limitation? Is this why so many use the sh404SEF?

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
