Question Disable Moderator Approval for Posts

I am new to the forum, so please excuse me if I have missed this... I did search the forum and found 26 posts related to 'approval', none of which I found to describe how to disable moderated approval for posts by members.
I have a joomla site: 1.5.15 and Kunena, 1.5.7. We've found that of course amins and moderators are able to post, but when a registered user tries to post in the forum, their posting has to be approved by a moderator.
We want this disabled.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you and God bless,
Johnathan

The question about approval relates to a subject known as forum moderation. If you read How to create Categories, Forums and Subforums (and its companion piece, Forum Setup, Permissions and Forums for special Groups in the documentation Wiki, you will discover that you can define, for each forum, an "is this a moderated forum" setting. To reduce the effort required by your moderators to have to approve all messages before they appear on your discussion board, don't have moderated forums.
I hope that this helps you and anyone else who has the same issue in future.

The moderated selection allows me to assign a moderator... which I want the option... the review is what send the email to be approved... I've disabled this option... although I have not tested it yet...
I didn't realize that this wasn't a global option but a forum based option.
Thank you very much and God bless,
Johnathan

Yes, sorry, you are quite right. Thank you for qualifying your original question. The moderated selection allows me to assign a moderator... which I want the option... the review is what send the email to be approved... I've disabled this option... although I have not tested it yet...
For others seeking the answer, the question about "approving messages before they appear on the discussion board" relates to Forum Administration. If you find that messages are not automatically appearing on the discussion boards because they require "moderator approval" then you've changed something. This is not a global setting; it's changed on a per forum basis.
The relevant setting is: Review posts = Yes
This setting has no effect unless you also use: Moderated = Yes
Neither of the two sample forums that are included with a new Kunena installation are set for moderators to review posts. I hope this clears up any ambiguities.
