Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Dear all,

I have recently uploaded the Kunena forum onto my Joomla site and everything is working perfectly with exception to the avatars. I wondered if anyone could give me some guidance?

When I try and upload an image as my avatar, it says the upload is complete, but nothing appears. I have given it some time to see if the avatar eventually appears, but nothing has come up after a few days of trying. I am uploading a .jpg file, but only an icon with a question mark inside it appears. I am using Safari and have tried using other browsers all to the same result, so I'm pretty stuck now.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello,

1°)After uploading, check that the avatars are present in joomla\images\fbfiles\avatars
2°)If the avatar isn't in this place, check the permissions of this directory

Hi thanks for your speedy response!

1. Yes one of the images I have tried uploading appears in fbfiles/avatars
2. How do I go about checking / changing the permissions of this directory?

If you have a FTP client like filezilla it's easy : buddingbloggers.com/2009/04/changing-fil...sions-via-filezilla/ , you need to set the permissions on 777 for this directory.
