I'm re-designing my website and have the freedom to choose photo and video support from scratch.

Are there any Joomla extensions that will all me to integrate the comments in a photo galery with the forum--sort of like a discussbot for a photo or video gallery?

Thanks,

I'm sorry to disappoint you but I am not aware of any other Joomla extensions (apart from those listed in the "Integration" area of the Kunena Configuration panel) that integrate with Kunena. I've used JoomGallery which has its own user comments feature; JoomGallery also integrates with Community Builder. But no, JoomGallery doesn't link to Kunena.

Good idea, though! :)

Bummer! It would be cool though...instead of all these scattered comments on a site, to have a single place where they are all collected...:)

Scattered comments (or more precisely, comments targeted to individual images) is not such a bad thing. Each image effectively has it's own discussion topic. I agree, though, if you want to discuss a group of images there's no easy integrated mechanism that I'm aware of. Perhaps if you wrote to the developers of the Joomla extensions that you're interested in, whether they might consider integrating their product with Kunena? :)
