Question Editing "name" field when posting

I did find one option in the configuration for:
Set to "Yes" if you want registered users to be able to change their name when posting. If set to "No," registered users will not be able to edit their names.

I have this set to No, but registered users can still edit this, so I assume it's a different option.

I see it is disabled here.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you set Allow Name Change = No, then registered users cannot change their name. Administrators can change their name regardless of the setting. That's the difference. :) I don't know if this is a design feature or a defect.

Yeah that was the first thing I found and changed.

I assumed it was cause I was admin that it did that, so I logged on a dummy account and was still able to edit my name when posting.

I'll switch it on and off and see if it fixes it.
