The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
Topics that are moved into this category are generally considered to be closed. Users may want to add additional information but these topics should not be resurrected in order to discuss new problems or unrelated matters.
It's not possible to do that, because the joomla! menu manager doens't allow specific urls. But what is the purpose to go directly to a particular forum ?
I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.
The idea is to have a main menu item called forum and then several child menu items that link directly to the more popular individual forums.
It is not mission critical, I was able to use a work around by adding the child items as external URLs.
I could see a situation where you have a main menu item about a topic and then you the child items would link to different areas of the site about this topic. It would be nicer to link directly to the specific topic forum rather than to the main forum. A second click would be required when linking to the main forum when the users are interested in the specific topic forum.
Thanks so much for the reply and keeping this great extension going!
This will be possible in K1.6, where you have a lot of freedom with menu items. Well, almost.. There are still some issues with Itemid's, like menu item does not change, if you choose another category etc..
