Need Advice for user management and forum restrictions. was created by Damainman
Okay I setup Joomla and Kunena forums and it works perfectly. My users love it.
However the website I made was setup to accommodate a bunch of clients from another business who was jumping ship because that business was shutting down soon and I provide the services they need.
I just put up the website so they can sign up, collaborate, and exchange ideas and suggestions about their new direction.
However now there are so many people in the forums asking questions and wanting support, and some not even sure if want to go to my services or find another service provider.
Because of the number of support questions coming in, I need to setup a forum restricted to paying members only. This way I can give them priority support.
Right now I'm doing the payments via paypal, so the payment method is not an issue.
I just need a way to create forums, and only give paying users access to those forums. I don't mind giving them access on an individual basis manually.
However the problem is, I need to have this done by Tuesday and I'm completely lost.
Not sure if I should leave Kunena forums, attempt to install another instance of Kunena forums and have 2 forums, or find a plugin that is compatible with kunena forums.
My users really like Kunena forums and so do i, but I really dont know what to do.
If anyone can please advise me or point me into the right direction so I atleast know where to start looking then that would be great.
Thank you so much.

Short reply: Have paid users to be authors and assign a category only for them.

Thank you very much for your reply. I didn't think of that because I was under the impression that authors can submit articles or something like that. But yea just re-read the Joomla documentation on that.
However if I do this, will registered users be able to view the topics or read the posts I've put in the authors forum?
You are a life saver!!! Thank you so much!
