Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Hi,

I use Joomla version 1.5.14, JomSocial, and version 1.5.4 of Kunena.

Recently we've had lots of people mailing us complaining that they are receiving moderator emails from the forum. They are not assigned as moderators!

Has anyone else had this problem? I can't seem to fix it!

its a problem with "Report to moderator" that send email all users

we dont know why it happen (Kunena 1.5 its based on FireBoard and FB is HACKED CODE from alot of programers )
but i can sure that will not happen at K1.6 (DEV know any line of code )

I just discovered the same problem. I went into CB User Manager and found that almost every user had an option to "Receive Moderator Emails" that was set to "yes" even though they weren't configured as moderators. I changed each one to "no" one at a time and saved the configuration. After that I could go back to each user's settings and that option wasn't available which is the way it should have been from the beginning. Fortunately it's a new site and I only had about 35 users to fix.
