Question Anti Spam method.

I run a successful phpbb forum which obviously can fall foul of the spammers.

However, they have implemented a fantastic system that no spammer has yet cracked in just under a year and I was wondering if this could be implemented in Kunena.

Basically, as an administrator you set a question that has to be answered during a users registration process. The question is multiple choice. You ask for example 'What is five plus three?'

The options are the correct one, and then two or more fake answers. You set the default answer to be an incorrect one.

Spam bots ignore this radio button section and of course this means the answer is wrong so the user application is rejected and the spammer does not get through. An email can be sent to the email address supplied by the user just in case someone accidentally got it wrong and can then re-register. An email back to a spammer will result in a bounce back so it doesn't matter.

This is the most effective method I have seen on forums for tackling this problem.

phpbb is a standalone software and need to have this Anti spam method, the Kunena is a component for Joomla and has nothing to do with Registration process, there is not a Kunena Registration form. For registration of user is responsable Joomla.

Maybe you can find something like this on JED to extend registration system of Joomla.
