Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Hi, I'm Migrating from 'Old' Joomla 1.0.15 to 'New'Joomla 1.5 - a bit traumatic!

On our Old site we had Juser collecting user data such as Company, Job Title, Industry Sector (with dropdown menu &/or checkboxes). JUser has been overtaken by JomSuite (I believe).

In the New site with Kunena & Profile & Groups capability can the Registration process:
    1st lead to 'Fill Out Profile" - with custom fields? If so how many? Dropdown menu &/or checkboxes?
    2nd Select/Join Groups
    3rd Logon/Register
Preferably in that order

Effectively just capturing User Data avoiding going through other components like JUser or CB?

Our CB profile integration makes it possible to fully customize user profiles in Kunena (many different options from field customization to php code). Unfortunately this feature hasn't yet been implemented to the other integrations.

Kunena Forum does not handle registration, groups or profile (except for few fixed fields).

Ah... I was afraid of that.... CB is SUCH a PAIN!
Any recommended alternatives?

With the blurring of the lines between a Forum & Social Networking extending profiles might be an option, is it on the road map?
