Hi everyone,
I am very new to Kunena, but I love the concept and want to use it for our site. One thing I noticed on the front end is that there is no "administrator panel" (or similar) link even when I am logged in as an administrator.

If an administrator needs to manage the forum, do they HAVE to go through the backend of joomla? I would prefer if they didn't as I don't want them to have access to the other stuff in teh joomla back-end (where they could accidentally stuff things up).

In other words, is there a way of logging into the Kunena back end ONLY, and not the Joomla back end?

I am thankful for any help with this.

Hello,

Like the majority of components in Joomla, the administration is in the backend, with Kunena there is no administration in front-end.
You can only to connect on the joomla backend and then access to the kunena configuration panel, there is no others ways.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

ok, thanks for the response. It's disappointing that it must be set up like that, because if I want moderators to administrate the forum, but not have access to the rest of the website, it doesn't seem possible. That means I have to trust every adminstrator of the fourm with everything else on my website.

You have the possibility to set different permissions for the moderators : docs.kunena.com/index.php/Forum_Setup%2C...s_for_special_Groups
