Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

I can't afford to add a component with inefficient scripting. How is the scripting in this forum component?

I am limited to processes running no longer than 5 seconds by my host.

I like the looks of the forum, and like the fact that it's native for Joomla 1.5. :)

Most message forums do not involve scripts that involve large amounts of processing time. Kunena, from what I've seen, is average in terms of performance.

However, the limitation by your webhost, to a max. processing time of 5 seconds may be a show-stopper as far as Joomla is concerned in terms of your ability to install Kunena. The Kunena installation can take as long as 30 seconds! You may have to shop around for an alternative webhost or try to negotiate a longer script processing limit. The best solution is to try it out for yourself. B)
