Important File Upload extensions and sizes

Hello,

I'd like to increase the size for file uploads, and also add pdf files.
I am trying to change the settings on main configuration page of Kunena, at Joomla backend, but my changes are not saved.

i also tryed to change this directly from the configuration file, and although the changes are saved, nothing happens...

I'm guessing here: I don't think that modifying the "configuration" [PHP ??] file is the way to go about solving your "changes not saved" problem. These settings are probably stored in the SQL database (jos_fb_config table).

If you search the forums for "configuration not saved" (or various other combinations of such phrases, words, ideas) you might find some clues as to what's causing your problem ... at least until someone else with a better idea is able to help you.
